In Episode 3 of the SimCast, we had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Roman Bogomazov. Roman is a veteran trader, Wyckoff enthusiast, and the lead educator and founder of WyckoffAnalytics.com. His courses are a refreshing departure from the wild west of trading gurus scattered across the web.
Instead, Roman has pulled from his academic days of studying technical analysis under Hank Pruden in the 90s to develop a very structured curriculum for all skill levels.
In this episode, we discuss a little about Roman’s past, his influences, some of his more salient learning experiences in the market, and how he has grown as an educator and portfolio manager. Roman, like many traders early on, faced a few “blow-ups.” His advice about these learning experiences is priceless.
In his 25+ years as a trader, he has had a lot of great mentors along the way. This influence is apparent in his teaching style, where he discovers the tape through the chart.
This is Part 1 of a three-part series. You won’t want to miss these episodes as we display Roman’s style of teaching as he analyzes some of his own trades. To that end, be sure to stay tuned for Part 2 where we go in-depth on the Wyckoff Methodology with Roman. He will also share many of his recent trades, including a post-trade analysis of Bitcoin.
